Back at it again...

I know. I'm sorry. I've been a little busy. This thing is kinda like a dairy and I'm not good at keeping track with those. I haven't posted in ages because we don't have to anymore, and I'm still steamed about my drive and google classroom dying on me. I think I'm going to try keep posting even though nobody is going to read this but, ah, well. I have to have another blog at school so I'm going to try keep both going.

I dunno...

I am meant to do a blog post. I don't really want to or know what to do it about so I'm just gonna waste your time by saying random stuff... Hint hint by the way. Your chance to stop reading right now. But if the teachers check my blog, (which probably won't happen), they'll be expecting something about school work. So. They suggested stuff like Vex and things and when they said that I thought of writing the Yearbook 'cause Ayah and I had to write the Yearbook in the same room as them and we can always hear them arguing. Very annoying when we only had the day to finish it and they were bickering.

So I had to write about Marble season, GRi11, Camp and... Um... Oh yes, mandarin. I think that's it... Can't remember. Ha ha. So it took forever. We got told oh no! This far to long! It doesn't explain enough! I tried to make it funny and it was but apparently information is more desirable than humour. Maybe just for the adults 'cause it was funny to us. So that's all I really have to write. Not very interesting if you ask me. I'm gonna post something interesting next time. Please comment on something my blog is so boring.

What's on top for me

So on most Monday's we do something call What's on top. It's when you share what on top for you, like what's on the top of you head that you want to share with everyone. I shared what I shared because it made me very happy even though it might be boring for other people.

So, a while ago we got another homestay. We already had one so when we got another one we had to move rooms so the homestay could have a room of her own. I had to move out of my room and my mum and dad moved in there. My sister and brother had to move out of their room and the new homestay moved in there. So my sister, brother and I had to move into my mum and dad's room.
Sigh.
My room is gone and now I have to sleep with my siblings. Torture. My brother snores, my sister sleep talks and my brother gets scared easily so randomly in the middle of the night he might turn the light on and I wake up in the middle of the night thinking it's morning, I look outside see it's night get really mad and start whacking my brother. Then, yes there is more torture ahead. Then in the morning at like, six, my brother's alarm goes of really loud then he turns on the light, my sister and brother both get out of bed and since my mum and dad's room had an onsweet I can hear them going toilet. They open the door into the hallway leave the light on, leaves the door open goes down stairs and turns the TV on really loud. Honestly I don't now how we survive with them and why we still have homestays. And that happens on school days and weekends.
Maybe you're wondering why this makes me happy. Truth. It doesn't. I complained so much that my dad is going to move into the garage and I get my room back but while that happens we can't be in the way so... we get to stay out or gran's house for a week!!! Huge celebration! Maybe you wonder, why is that a good thing? Wouldn't that be bad having to live with your gran? My answer, no way!!! I get my own room, lots of stuff in my lunch box, get to play on my tablet a lot more and when I come back home I get my room back! I guess you have to suffer the bad to get the good.

F.A.I.L.

I made this so it looks like a test that somebody did and failed. But the fail that this is about is a different one. F.A.I.L. As we say means First Attempt In Learning. The learning pit is a place where you have to figure thing out. Everyone needs to go through the leaning pit if they are to be successful. Every time you are given a question or a problem you can't just get out the easy way, you have to think about it and figure it out. When you have gotten out of the pit is when you have the answer, and then have your Eureka moment. Eureka is when you think, yes! I have it! This is the answer!
A few other cool things like F.A.I.L. are N.O. which means Next Opportunity. And the E.N.D. is never the E.N.D. it means Effort Never Dies.
It's all very inspiring isn't it? Haha funny. I'm not good at this stuff.
P.S. This is copyright.

Balloon powered car

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA. No. Not funny. A little funny actually when you saw what some of them did. You might be thinking, haha! They probably made gross sounds and fell. A few did, but some didn't. And by some I mean like three or four. I'm going to tell you how we did it and why.

Soooo, randomly they just told us to make ballon powered cars. (They, is our teachers.) And then I was just like, "OMG I'M GONNA DIE NOW I HATE TASKS LIKE THIS!!!! I'M AWFUL AT GROUP WORK WHEN WE HAVE TO BUILD STUFF. I CAN ONLY DO THAT ON MY OWN!!! SCREAM!!!" But of course I didn't die cause I'm here with you!!! But now I'm gonna die...
sedrtfgkyuewy®†∂ƒ¥krestytdn_))*%^%^Tudusat!@#$%^*()t - That was my face hitting the keyboard... Oh wait. You know I'm not dead. Okay. I don't like dying. Cause it means i can't talk with you amazing peeps!

So we just randomly got asked to do the task so guess what? WE DID! We got into buddies. I was with Ariana and then we had to get into a group of four but he had to choose boys so we ended up with Jack and Ben as well.
Our materials were 50cm of tape, four skewers, two straws, a piece of foam, some cardboard, one pair of scissors and one balloon.
First attempt. You would think that the first attempt would fail and the next few tries might work right? Wrong. First tried to do something but we didn't test it so we decided to try something different and it worked. I suggested that we could tape the balloon down to the cardboard so we did.

Test time. We decided to test it inside so the wind wouldn't blow it away. We did it near the white board table kinda near the corner of room 11.

I will update soon. I have more work to do.

Mr Crawly

The holidays hadn't officially started yet but I felt like they had. So to start off the holidays, my younger sister, brother, my older cousin, my mum and I went to the Spring Festival on Saturday.
We were super pumped about going to the Haunted House, so that's where we went. Mum said she would wait on at the end for us and that we could go in together. We only had to pay for me and Chris (my cousin) because under 10 was free.
The line took a really long time. There was a big maze of chairs, and when we were halfway through there were so many people wanting to go through the Haunted House there were no chairs left so a bunch of people had to stand.
I saw Gayathma waiting in line, near the front and couldn't wait to get into that spot. Finally we did even though it took a while. The people that sold us tickets said that it would take around twenty minutes for the thing to end, but then I realised they probably meant the line wait.

I was at the front of the line with my cousin, Saem and Shian. The people in front of us were told to step inside, a few seconds later there was a bang and a huge scream. It sounded like a garage door getting bashed without the rattle at the end. That was it for Shian. She started crying and didn't want to go on. (I think that might be why under 10 was free because the younger kids couldn't handle it.) That also made Saem pretty uneasy as well but he still went in.

We walked in. We could only see a small a pathway. It was like a maze of black sheets. There was an enter sign made from red paint. The black drapes didn't go all the way to the top of the roof so we could all see a light coming from the other side. We turned a corner and there was a creepy photo flashing on the corner of the wall. Seam was very freaked by that, but the photo was were the way to the end was so he had to go closer. I turned and looked behind me and a man was trying to get out from the drapes really slowly.
My cousin way like to the photo, "that photo is ****ing creepy man." I tried not to smile in front of Saem. He didn't want to see any more so I put my hand over his eyes and started whispering, "it's okay Saem, it's okay." But Chris said it made it creepier but I kept doing it anyway. We turned another corner and I got hit in the head with a floating doll covered in fake blood. My hand fell off Saem's face and he started shuffling back really fast, because a man was crawling towards us.

I don't how we got past but we did. We turned another corner, and I heard a chainsaw and saw a dummie also covered in fake blood, that huge bang I heard before and then the it ended. Saem was glad to get out. I thought it was pretty good. We got Shian and had ice cream to make Saem feel better.

The Mind Lab

Okay, so we made the money and then we went to Mind Lab.
One word... AWESOMELY FANTABULOUSLY, AMAZING. Okay more than one word. The bus ride was even awesome! I usually get carsick but this time I was fine! Wendy and I talked awesome, ate M&M's, played with riddles and got really hyper! Ella got so load she got told to be quiet by the bus driver.
Mind Lab is in Petone (Pronounced, pet-o-knee) so we had to go through Wellington which was raining and so was Petone, so when we walk through the car park we were freezing cold. Mr R saw a glass building and figured that was it. A man named Malcolm welcomed us. When we stepped in the building we got a blast of warm air which was really nice to feel.
The people from our class that traveled by car and got there before us got fizzy drinks which was sad to see.
Malcolm gave us a run though of what was going to happen and Miss G told us to split into groups of 14.

My first activity was the Makey Makey and Stop Motion Animation. For that we had a website called Scratch. The website had a piano that can connect to this panel called the earth. We connected the earth to us with wires and then connected different wires to playdoh. When we touched the playdoh, the piano would make a sound because we connected the electric circle. That might not make sense, but I'm not that great at explaining.

My personal favourite is the Stop Motion Animation. We took a bunch of photos and played them all together to make a sort of video thing. I will show you guys the video in my next post.

Then we had the Scribble bots. We had to get into buddies. I chose Wendy... Then Mr R came along Dun Dun Dun. And I got put with James M. Oh joy. UGH. We got a plastic cup, some rubber bands, tape, felt pens, a little motor and batteries so it can draw circles. Amazeballs! Well it would be more amazeballs if ours worked, but James took over and it ended a failure. Other groups had succeeded so that that photo down there ↓ isn't ours. James decided, hey! Why not use two cups and hold it in the air so it sprays us all? So he went ahead and did it. He held it over the paper and was like see? When it made little flicks on the paper, then he lifted it up higher. Then the felts started spraying us with it's colour. I ended up with a pink arm green streaks on my pants and tiny yellow dots on my shirt. YAY!!! Let's all celebrate!

Then we made race cars. I know what your thinking. Oh wow! Race cars! Oh, but wait there's more! They were made out of cardboard, CDs, straws, skewers, a mini motor, and a propela.
But... We got to chose our own groups! Whoop and score!!! Wendy and Charlotte all the way peeps! And our car was a success!!! Photo of amazingness. ↓ (Not really)
